putting it all together

In our blog, we dive into words used in Scripture to get a clear picture of their meaning and glean truth from them. From the study of ONE VERSE in Scripture- Philippians 4:8- we have seen the following truths emerge:

God sees and knows me.

I choose to seek God’s approval over man’s approval.

God’s approval is unbiased.

When I put my faith in God, He gives me a new mind that helps me accept truth and reject lies.

When Iife distracts me from the truth, I remember that God’s ways are best for me.

God loved me at my worst, gave me a new beginning, and shows me how to be more like Him.

Because of Jesus, I get a clean slate every day.

I can ask for help from the Holy Spirit to do the right thing at any given moment.

Even when things feel chaotic, I can trust that God’s way is good.

God has set me apart and given me a unique purpose.

My response is to live according to his standard, not my own.

I choose to surrender my agenda; I will think, speak, and act in ways that are life-giving.

People will fail me, but I can count on God.

I can’t rely on the shifting nature of my emotions, but I can depend on God.

God is the “real deal”. He never changes.

When I doubt, I will ask God for help and ask others to remind me that He can be trusted.

These aren’t just truths- these are truths meant for YOU.

When you believe these truths, you will have peace- no matter what is happening, no matter how crazy or chaotic life is, no matter what others are saying to you or about you.

Let the Word of God remind you who He is and who you are to Him.

“Finally brothers, whatever is true whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things. Philippians 4:8
